Back in 2015, we opened the floor and invited your questions on all things Koenigsegg. Our Founder and CEO, Christian von Koenigsegg, answered around 40 of your questions on all manner of subjects.

We’d like to open the floor once again and invite you to submit your questions for consideration in our Q&A. A lot’s happened since 2015 and we’re sure there’s plenty for us to talk about.

You can leave your question in comments on this website using the form below. Alternatively, you can submit it via one of our social channels.

You have until Sunday lunchtime (Swedish time) to lodge your question. On Sunday afternoon, I’ll start selecting questions to present to the boss.

NOTE: I can’t ask him everything and I’ll give preference to questions that weren’t asked last time.     1. I’ve heard that the inspiration of making cars was from Flåklypa Grand Prix. Who was your favorite character when you were a kid? (mine was Solan. The bird. By the way, Flåklypa Grand Prix va min favoritfilm som barn, faktiskt)

    2. Have you ever thought about naming a car after something that you like? (Like a name inspired by a character from a show for example)

    Have you ever considered using a (rear) wingblade that can change form and size as an alternative to (just) moving the whole wing? A lot of brands are using movable wings with up. down and angle adjustments including air brake functionality, but I have yet to see a wingblade that can be adjusted for form and size in itself. This is after all what airplanes does with their wings (flaps etc), and it would be interesting to see a technical evaluation of this kind of soultion for a car with an adjustable wingblade compared to just moving the wingblade around. Porsche has a very simple pneumatic solution for a front splitter on later Turbo models, but that is the only brand I know that touches this solution.

    Are there any plans for a model of lower cost and performance? I know Koenigsegg is all about ultimate performance, but I remember a time when your cars were in the €400.000 range, not the €2-3M range.. I would love to see a model I could realistically dream to own one day.

    Do you plan to return the first Koenigsegg prototypes of which one has the norrer chassis XX1 / XP003 (CCV8S)? Considering that he visited the Supercar Rally 2001 and was used for the crash test in 2002, is it worthwhile to hope that the first prototypes of Koenigsegg CC will be restored?

    my question are we going to here F1 frequency song coming out of Agera replacement @ 17600 RPM with the help of Titanium acoustic exhaust?

    Any plans for a (track) car that has a more progressive design/aero approach than Agera/Regera?

    I’m thinking of AM Valkyrie as a reference. Even the AMG Project ONE is too conservative from a design point of view in my opinion.

    I’m 12 years old and I love cars and one day I want to make my own car company. And in my opinion your make the most complicated cars (in a good way), the fastest cars obliviously, and the most sophisticated cars in the world. They just boggle my mind. And this question has just been in my head for a while and I would like to know what motivates you to do what you do? Like, what made you want to make fast cars. Not just ordinary cars like Mercedes sedans, Audi sedans, e.t.c. It would be a dream if you responded to me.

    Hello. My son Tage 8yo is a big fan of you. He’s very interested in Cars and hypercars like yours in particillar. We live nearby the factory and have spent quite time in the Car outside hopeing to see inte of your cars.

    He is determined that he himself one day will have his own brand producing the worlds fastets Car.
    Do you have any suggestions on how he Will make his dreams come true? What education do you recommend next generation of carmanufactor?

    Hi Christian! As an industrial designer in an entrepreneurial setting I have been greatly influenced by much of your work. Not just the design-related work, but also with running the Koenigsegg business. In the startup I work at we too have had the big guys (competitors) try to attack our success. I’ve read reports where you seemed to experience the same. How do you deal with this?

    Awhile back I was watching Apex: The Story of the Hypercar on TV. One thing I noticed was the very down to earth nature of things with you and your team at your facility. I mean, while most of your competitors are building huge factories with the most sophisticated equipment, your team had a chassis sitting on 4 jackstands just wrenching away. The simplicity of it really inspired me as it felt so relatable to what all of us gearheads do everyday. Is keeping things simple without automation and such something you do on purpose? And is doing things that way something you’d want to continue?

    What is the air inrake in front of the rear wing of the regera about? I haven’t seen any articles or press release about it and it just appeared in the customer cars, but it wasnt in either the ice blue preproduction car or the “finalized” design candy apple red car either.

    As i know, koenigsegg is world’s best Hypercar manufacturer with negligible pollution. For Chritian von koenigsegg i’ve greater respect than any other person & i want to be better than him and he always be my mentor.As i am intrested in Vehicle dynamic and aerodynamics I want to ask koenigsegg that , Why you didn’t use or Run the ONE: 1 for world record of 0-400-0 kmph, One: 1 is The wonder of koenigsegg with every iconic detailed work of Engineering in all way Or should i say Agera RS having the same aerodynamics and same changing in Rake angle, same flaps & vents? My second question is about the Next version of Hypercar, any thoughts about changing the DNA in koenigsegg and when will you prepare your production car with free valve Technology?
    Whatever koenigsegg will do, perfection, every Engineered detail exists that’s why we are all fan of yours. Keep building hypercars. Cheers!☺

    Before asking a question, let me start with a moment of gratitude for everything that Christian and his amazing team have brought to this world over the years. Without your intuitive nature and determined mindset to build truly groundbreaking cars, the car world would simply not be what it is today. Thank you.

    Now to the question that I have for you. I have attempted several times to apply for work at Koenigsegg in a number of areas from service technician jobs to assembly jobs. I am sure you have overwhelming numbers of top notch applicants for any job, which makes it difficult to get a reply. I live in the United States and am willing to move to Angelholm at the drop of a hat if ever offered a job. However, my question is, since more Koenigsegg’s are being delivered to the States every year, and “official” dealerships are opening in certain areas, will you ever offer jobs based out of these locations for technician positions or offer any specific training for people that want to work on your vehicles? It is without a doubt a dream of mine to work for Koenigsegg Automotive AB, and I would devote my life’s work to that. I cannot thank you enough for allowing this platform to voice our support for a truly awesome company. Keep pushing the limits of engineering and re-writing what is possible.

    Hello Mr. Koenigsegg,

    My question pertains to your hybrid propulsion system and your aversion towards all wheel drive platforms. While weight is always a factor, with regards towards overall weight, with your system the weight is already there.

    You have three electric drive motors currently within your system of drive. Would it not be more prudent in the future to move two of them to the front wheels? While I know distribution of weight is as important as the overall weight, as far as acceleration and yaw control is concerned, wouldn’t the additional front drive not improve performance, however artificially?

    Would this not be a gain worthy enough sacrifice for the added weight at the front of the vehicle? With the advent of high performance electric vehicles coming now and in the future, I believe that your system could be far more Superior to anything for the distant future, until such time as battery weihwe drops significantly. Which by the way, benefits Koenigsegg as well as it does any other.

    Please make a pick up truck. The engine seems to be low enough to make the hood flat, like a pick up truck bed. If for nothing else, it will make your competitors go absolutely furious over your audacity. There is only one hypercar company that is shameless enough to redefine the industry as it pleases, and that is Koenigsegg. Who knows, it might even benefit the aerodynamics?

    Hello there,

    ever thought of using side-depending active aero like in Huayra or Performante or SVJ
    In a corner you mostly need downforce on the inside wheels, centrifugal forces are doing the rest.
